We in the West have grown up with what we might call “Beta Christianity” or the Gentile version of Christianity that branched off from the original, Jewish form. Most of this first form of Christianity has been lost, but in order to understand our roots it is important that we recover a more original understanding. We are calling this “Alpha Christianity” and some of this more original form is preserved in the writings of James (Ya’akov), the brother of Jesus (Yeshua), found in our New Testament. These eight sessions spanning three weekends of teaching help us better understand our roots. The seminar also uses a fresh translation of that original text.
