Monks' Page The Breviary

Four offerings are included for each "week" spanning writings from The Psalms, Gospel of Thomas, Rumi, Hafez, John of the Cross, Thomas Aquinas, Francis of Assisi as well as offerings from modern poets and writers. Each offering includes an introduction, questions for reflection, a wisdom text for use in lectio divina and an image to be used in visio divina.

Introduction to the Breviary

This introduction was provided during a break-out session at the 2019 Gathering. Abbot Lynn discusses the historical use of a breviary as well as the specific format of the OOOW's breviary. Suggestions on ways to use these resources for spiritual growth are also provided in the audio file.
